Abstract

201,251. Lejeune, L. May 1, 1922. Shuttles.-A cop-carrying device for use in the shuttles of looms provided with automatic copchanging mechanism comprises a steel or other metal conical tube c, Fig. 1, or other conical member, or hollow or solid spindle on which is slipped the cardboard or paper tube b provided with a cop a as supplied by the spinning mill, a removable collar or ring d holding the paper tube &c. firmly in position between the tube c and the collar. The collar &c. d may be forced into position by a punch f, Fig. 2, and the tube &c. c may act as a spring, or the tube &c. c may be threaded externally as shown in Fig. 4, and an internally threaded collar may be screwed thereon so as to grip the cop tube b.
