Cop tubes.-The annular or spiral nibs d, d<1>, which are provided on cop tubes used in the shuttle of a weaving loom to prevent the yam from becoming loose, are formed by introducing a thread or threads between the paper layers during manufacture, the paper and threads being held together by paste. The ribs so produced are smooth and the fine yarn cannot be torn thereby.
