Abstract

In a silage cutter with stock bin 1 for hitching to the three-point linkage with hydraulic power lift and P.T.O. shaft of a tractor by an arm 13 with roller cutter and a vertically-adjustable stock bin 1, the arm is horizontally and vertically slewable at right angles to the direction of travel of the tractor, and preferably independently of the stock bin. The roller cutter is preferably narrower than the associated stock bin. The stock bin may be pivoted on supporting bars 3 at the end thereof facing the tractor and is preferably retained in its filling position by a pawl 63 with the help of a latch plate 66, whereby through release of the pawl, the stock bin can be lowered to the bottom of a silo with its discharge end turned to the roller cutter. <IMAGE>
