Abstract

A draw-bar hitch for farm implements consisting of several implement units, the hitch being arranged to be coupled to a draft vehicle and to carry the implement units in such a manner that, in the operative position, they assume a lowered position and together cover an area of great width, and, in the transport position, assume a raised position and together cover an area of slight width. The hitch has a carrier frame 4 which is borne by wheels 9, and has a towing device disposed to couple the hitch to the draft vehicle, at least one implement-supporting beam 5 which is pivotally connected to the carrier frame about a substantially vertical shaft, and a lever mechanism 7 which is pivotally connected to the carrier frame about a shaft 8 extending substantially in the transverse direction of the hitch and is pivotable between a first position, Figure 1, which defines the operative position of the hitch and a second position, Figure 5, which defines the transport position. <IMAGE>
