Abstract

1,020,450. Bale loaders. BROWN'S AGRICULTURAL MACHINERY CO. Ltd. Oct. 1, 1963 [July 6, 1962], No. 25944/62. Heading B8H. Tines 21, Fig. 1, mounted on cross rods 20, Fig. 3, are pivoted downwards by a double - acting hydraulic - ram 27 and a slide 23 to engage bales of straw or heaps of silage so that they can be lifted by arms 14 attached to a tractor hydraulic linkage. A frame 10 which supports the tines can be pivoted about pins 15 by a ram 31. A bar 36 attached to one side of the frame co-operates with a rear wall of the frame in guiding the device over a group of eight bales. The device may be designed to lift more or less than eight bales.
