Abstract

1380915 Bale-grippers for tractors PERRY LOADERS Ltd 3 Jan 1972 [6 Jan 1971] 564/71 Heading B8H The gripper arms 7, 8 of a bale gripper are pivotally mounted at 6, in a frame 1 with their bottom edges level with the bottom of the frame so that the frame and arms can be skidded along the ground. A single-acting hydraulic ram, Fig. 2 (not shown), for closing the gripper arms and a spring for urging the arms towards an open position are located within the depth of the frame 1, which is provided with laterally adjustable brackets 3 for connection to the loader arms of a tractor. The arms 7, 8 are provided with detachable guards 12 and the frame 1 pivotally supports a guard 16 and a post 21 which may be folded down when not in use and which are maintained in an upright operative position by stays 19, 24, a cable 23 being connected to the post 21 to maintain the gripper arms substantially horizontal.
