Abstract

201,092. Baron, H., (Aldendorff, F.). July 17, 1922. Casting-apparatus; casting terminal banks for electric selectors.-A method of manufacturing terminal banks for electric selectors consists in stamping perforations in sheet metal to form radial interconnected strips, as in Fig. 1, casting insulating material above the strips and cutting away the metal connecting the strips. Fig. 2 shows an initial contact member also embedded in the insulation. An insulating material is used which melts at a temperature, considerably above the boiling point of water, for example, lonarit, bakelite or a horny substance formed by adding water to finely ground organic matter. Moulds are described for dealing with one or a number of banks, as well as a boiler, Fig. 8, for delivering the liquid insulating material to the mould, Specification 207,219, [Class 38 (v), Electric switches &c.], is referred to.
