Abstract

A gas laser has one end surface 8 of a plasma tube 2 of a gas laser envelope 1 worked to be perpendicular to the axis of the plasma tube 2, and a cap 15 covers a mirror 5 and the end surface 8 of the plasma tube 2 so as to make the mirror 5 abut against the worked end surface 8. The cap 15 is fixed at the open end to the plasma tube 2 by frit material 20, and a bore 21 is formed through the plasma tube 2 which is covered by the cap 15. <IMAGE>
