Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate direct adverse effect of external force applied to an anode terminal to a reflecting mirror in a gas laser tube by supporting the reflecting mirror and a cylindrical anode arranged at one end of a plasma tube to separate members. CONSTITUTION:A plasma tube 2 directly fixing a reflecting mirror 14 in an enclosure 1 is so fixed at its one end by a supporting wall 13 and at the other end at free end as to become the same optical axis at the other reflecting mirror 3 forming a resonator. A discharging opening 15 is formed at part of the plasma tube adjacent to the mirror 14. A cup-shaped cylinder with a bottom of metal having equal thermal expansion coefficiency to glass or the like of the enclosure member is sealed by glass to the end of the enclosure 1 at the side of the mirror 14 to thereby form a cylindrical anode 16. A discharge inducing projection 17 is provided at the anode 16.
