Abstract

200,422. Soc. Anon. des AciÚries d'Angleur. Sept. 20, 1922, [Convention date]. Chairs, securing to sleepers. - A chair-plate secured in recesses in ribs 7 formed on the sleeper 1 comprises two parts 2, 3 which are secured to the rail and to the sleeper by means of a single member such as a key 4. The ribs 7 have undercut faces 11 in engagement with bevelled edges 10 on the chair-plate which has rail lugs 12, 13 of unequal height to enable the insertion of the rail. The lug 13 engages one rail flange, while the lug 12 extends over the other rail flange and engages the key 4. A space 15 is left between the parts 2, 3 which have projections 6 engaging between the ribs 7.
