365,956. Railway rail joints. ROLSHOVEN, E., Uetersen, Holstein, Germany. June 8, 1931, No. 16674. Convention date, March 18, 1931. Addition to 363,288. [Class 104 (ii).] The supporting plate b described in the parent Specification i s arranged to maintain the level of the trailing rail c higher than that of the facing rail a. This may be done by giving the plate a stepped form as shown in the Figure, or by inserting a packing piece between the plate and the rail c. The plate c and the bridge plate d may be combined into one which is recessed to receive the rail a.
