Abstract

A flat-trajectory ground-to-ground weapon. A tube 1 contains the projectile proper R, consisting of an impeller 2 containing a propellant charge 3, of a tuyere 4 and of spread-out pivoted fins 5. The section 6 connecting the propulsive system to the nose or head of the projectile encloses a base fuse 7. The nose or head 14 of the hollow charge type, comprises a revetment 8 and an explosive charge 9. Housed in the cap 10 are a sensor-detector 11, preferably of the magnetic influence type, signal-processing circuits 12, and a system comprising a plurality of transverse-action impellers 13, preferably of the powder type, operable in the direction F at a maximum distance A from the centre of gravity G of the projectile, so as to produce the maximum moment for rotating the projectile about its centre of gravity in order to bring it into a diving position above a target. <IMAGE>
