Abstract

200,283. Wigley, R. M. May 8, 1922. Facing-tiles comprise a sheet metal plate anchored to a base part, the plate having its upper surface formed intaglio, with the recesses therein enameled. The plates are provided with flanges 2 which may have lugs or teeth 3. The plate may have a negative pattern painted thereon, and' the unpainted portion treated with acid. The paint is then removed and the recesses enamelled; or the pattern may be cut or recessed by any method; or a perforated plate may be superposed on the metal plate and secured thereto.
