Abstract

199,338. Thompson, H. A. March 10, 1922. Hulls, cleaning.-A small vacuum apparatus for removing the residues of drainage water, refuse oil, and like liquids from ships has a mouthpiece formed as/or fitted with a scraper with which the operator may remove the refuse from the floor upon which he is standing. the scraper like mouthpiece b, Fig. 1, is shown there adapted to the ejector apparatus described in Specification 199,090. In modifications, the mouthpiece has a squeegee fitted round part of its periphery, or has a scraper o of the form shown in Fig. 4. This scraper may be adjustable. At the rear of the mouthpiece b may be fitted a squeegee or a brush.
