193,111. Booth, H. C., and British Vacuum Cleaner & Engineering Co., Ltd. Nov. 10, 1921. Washers.-Apparatus for removing dust from air comprises s closed water container a, into which air is introduced bv suction through a downwardly directed pipe c, and one or more air. tight chambers d disposed below the water level each of such a depth that as bubblee break within the chambers the air is washed by water splashed on to their internal surfaces and escapes as the water level reaches their bases. The chambers consist of an annular disc and a serrated flange i, and the pipe c and chambers are maintained in position by brackets h secured to the container. Surplus moisture ascending with the washed air is removed by a baffle plate k.
