Abstract

198,925. Hotham, Frederick William, Baron. July 8, 1922. Magnifying-appliances.-An appliance for gauging the angle of the cutting edges of a twist drill comprises an arm A with a grooved straight upper -surface M and a cross-piece B, sliding in the arm A and carrying a 118‹ notch C at its rear edge. In use the diameter of the drill is measured from a face D and read off a scale E and the piece B set with reading of a scale F. The angle of the drill is then checked against the notch C. An arm G containing a magnifying glass H may be inserted into a hole J in the arm A.
