Angle measuring appliances; squares. - A pivoted calliper gauge has the distance between the points, or the angular opening, given by scales on the straight edges of the arms a, b, the reading being made at the intersection of the edges. A square lug f on the pivot has one corner removed and enables the instrument to be used as a T- square or set-square. A wire gauge is provided at the side, and a wire-cutting notch may also be provided.
