326,887. Pearce, J. Oct. 18, 1929. Drawings to Specification. Compasses; rulers; protractors.-The limbs of a pair of compasses are graduated and are connected together by a hinge as used in a folding rule, so that when opened out they are collinear and can be used as a graduated ruler. The limbs are of such cross-section that they lie flat on a plane surface when closed and when opened out. an angular scale may be marked around the hinge to enable the instrument to be used as a protractor, the pivot of the joint being made hollow so that its centre can be placed over any given point on the paper &c. The hinge may also be marked with a scale showing the distance between the points of the compasses.
