Abstract

198,284. Hardoncourt, A. Oct. 13, 1922. Bricks and building-blocks, special shapes of.- Building-blocks of the kind described in Specification 135,740 comprise a pair of hollow wall sections 8, 9 connected by an intermediate section or web 12, and mortar receiving spaces 16, 17 are provided between the parts. For facilitating handling the spaces are curved and the wall of the intermediate section is corrugated. The undersurface of the block .may. be provided with undercut grooves, or with projections opposite the spaces in the upper face and an intermediate groove. The mortar receiving spaces may be vertical with corrugated sides, as at 27, 28 in Fig. 5. The intermediate section 12 may be hollow or channelled and the recesses 13, 14 in the end sections may extend below the spaces 28. The mortar receiving spaces may be partly closed as shown at 32, 33 in Fig. 8, and at 36, 37 in Fig. 10.
