Abstract
197,936. Rosina, I. May 22, 1922, [Convention date]. Hank-type. - A hank &c. dyeing- machine comprises a frame 2, 2<1>, Figs. 1 and 2, removably mounted on the vat 1 and provided along opposite sides with pairs of coaxial shafts 8 to the inner ends of which are secured cranks 16 in the extremities of which the sticks 18 carrying the hanks are mounted; the sticks, which are provided with longitudinal edges or ribs, are either secured in fixed sockets 12, Fig. 4, provided in the cranks, for which purpose a clip 17<1> is provided, or the socket itself may be rotatably mounted on the crank as shown in Fig. 5, in which case a spur wheel 20 carried by the socket 17 engages a stationary spur wheel 21 so that the movement of the crank produces a rotation of the stick, which rotation may, by omitting teeth on portions of the wheel 21, be rendered intermittent. The shafts 8 are driven by worm gearing from a pair of shafts 9 which are in turn driven from a common shaft 13, Figs. 1 and 2, and the frame carrying the mechanism is removably connected to the vat by loops 3, Fig. 3, and screws 4, the latter engaging lugs 6 carried by the frame.
