Abstract

197,825. Soulage, G. May 1, 1922. Spray carburettors.-Fuel is fed through an annular chamber 8 to a nozzle 9 which is in the form of a capillary slot having a width of a few hundredths of a millimetre only; control valve 13 has a groove 18 which is opposite the nozzle in its slow-running position, the valve being movable axially to adjust the amount of air entering thelower end of the choke tube 1. The slot, which may be at right-angles to the axis of the choketube, is formed by the juxtaposition of two members 11, 12 having accurately parallel faces. The upper one 12 may be adjustable and either fixed in position by a set-screw 6 or connected to a control-lever, accessible to the driver.
