Abstract

485,656. Mixing fluids. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 22, 1936, Nos. 28757 and 28758. Convention dates, Oct. 23, 1935 and Dec. 4, 1935. [Class 71] An injector for mixing fluids comprises a convergent - divergent channel which is rectangular in cross section the induced fluid emerging into the throat through apertures at right-angles to the main stream from chambers of the same length as the throat. Figs. 3 and 5 show sections at right-angles. The main stream enters the channel at C ; the induced fluid passes from chambers 1, fed through passages D, through passages 4. The width of the throat may be adjustable by making the injector in halves one or both of which can be moved by screw mechanism.
