197,789. Franhs, T. March 15, 1922. Chair plates; chairs, securing to sleepers; sleepers, metal.-In a sleeper or chair having integral jaws b and seating c for the rail, a series of integral spikes or projections d are down-turned from each end and a plain flange a is down-turned' from each side. The chair or sleeper may be made by forging, pressing, or casting, and may be placed on the ground or secured to a wooden sleeper, and in the latter case, perforations e may be provided for bolts &c. The Provisional Specification also states that spikes or projections may be formed along the sides.
