Abstract

197,566. Redfern, C. G., (American Optical Co.). June 13, 1922. Spectacle lenses. - A bifocal lens is constructed w i t h the centres 7, 8 of the distant and near portions on opposite sides of the dividing line between the two parts of the lens. The distance between the centres is slightly greater than the diameter of the pupil of the eye. The central portion of the line separating the lens parts is preferably disposed at the geometric centre of the lens, and the optical centres are substantially equi-distant from the dividing line.
