Pots. - In a tea-pot of the type in which the time of infusion is regulated by allowing the liquid to escape gradually into a chamber contained in the pot, the liquid enters the chamber through a small opening, which may be provided with means for regulating its size. The chamber 6 is situated below the infusion chamber 5 and the whole suspended in the mouth of the pot as shown. The liquid enters the chamber 6 through a small opening 7, which may be protected by a strainer 20. Air escapes through a central tube 10, the exit from which may be so arranged that its size can be adjusted by means of a screwed cap. The openings 7 may be provided with a disc valve having perforations of different sizes, or with a needle valve. A float valve may be so arranged in the chamber 6 as to open when the chamber is partly full, and allow the escape of the rest of the liquid from the infuser to take place more rapidly.
