Printing-apparatus with bordering and vignetting masks, negatives, and apparatus.-In a bromide printing-box, means for setting the position of the negative so that the picture will be printed in correct relationship to the sides of the printing paper, comprises an upper frame c secured to the top of the light chamber, a negative carrier i having depending lugs serving as nuts for adjusting screws k which abut on the sides of the frame c, and clamps l. To set the printing paper an adjustable plate n is provided one end of which is slidable in a, slot in a guideplate m which has a rib engaging a slot f in the frame c. The mask r is secured bv a bar s and nuts t so that it does not obstruct the adjustments of the negative carrier i. Adapter plates may be fitted into the carrier i for negatives of less size than the aperture in the carrier i, and the opening in the negative carrier i may be fitted with a permanent sheet of glass the face of which is below the face of the negative carrier to a depth corresponding to the thickness of a negative so that a metal sheet having an aperture to suit any particular negative may be fitted to the apparatus.
