427,871. Photographic contact - printing apparatus. COOPER, E. E., and TROEDEL, A. T., 86, Bay Street, Melbourne, Australia. April 16, 1934, No. 31423. Divided out of 420,354. [Class 98 (ii)] Means for registering a photographic negative, especially for use in conjunction with the printing - apparatus described in Specification 420,354, comprises a frame provided on all sides with roller - tippec registering screws, the screws on two adjacent sides being seated on buffer springs. In the form shown the negative in a frame 41 is inserted in a chase 20 and the chase is placed in the registering frame 36 so that the adjusting screws 39, 40 bear on the negative frame 41 by rollers 42. The screws 40 are on two adjacent sides of the frame 36 opposite the screws 39 and are provided with buffer springs. After registration the negative is locked in the chase by keys 38 and transferred to the printing position. The frame 41 may be provided with gaskets to assist in producing vacuum contact with the sensitive material.
