Vacuum cleaning-apparatus. - A portable vacuum cleaner, in which the motor, fan, and filter are enclosed in a common casing provided with a handle 2 or with shoulder-straps 3, is provided with a separate wheeled carriage or sled 8 on which it can be rested during the cleaning operation. The sled can be moved for short distances by means of the flexible tube 6, and thus be made to follow the movements of the tube over the work. The sled fits between flanges 11 on the casing to prevent relative movement.
