Abstract

289,811. Cyklop Akt.-Ges., (Assignees of Neue Elektro-Bohner Ges.). Mav 2, 1927, [Convention date]. Floors, cleaning.-In a machine comprising two disc-shaped brushes a supported by arms d and driven by a friction wheel c, against which the peripheries of the brush stocks are pressed by means of a spring e, the arms d are pivotally mounted on a common pivot pin f. Projections i are provided on the under surface of a casing g, for the purpose of guiding the movement of the arms d. The machine is driven by an electric motor which mav also drive a fan so that dust raised during cleaning may be sucked up through an annular passage n into a dust bag. The machine may be used solely as a vacuum cleaner by the provision of a support o having an extension q for the attachment of a hose with suction nozzle. The support raises the brushes from the floor, and the brushes may be disengaged from the friction wheel c bv means of a cam s which can be turned to spread the arms d further apart.
