Abstract
194,292. Soc de Condensation et d'Applications MÚcaniques. March 3, 1922, [Convention date]. Feed-water, supplying.-To deliver condensate from a condenser c to a boiler l in a closed path thus avoiding aeration of the water, the condenser pump g and the feed pump k are connected to a closed elevated reservoir a, which is connected directly to the condenser by a pipe e and to a feed-tank b by a pipe d. No valves are provided in the connecting pipes. When the feed pump delivers more water than is supplied by the condenser pump, water is drawn from the tank through the reservoir; when it delivers less, water is supplied to the tank. The pipe e may be bent upwards to a height greater than that corresponding to atmospheric pressure.
