Retaining-devices in receptacle neck above closure.-In tobacco jars provided with an inturned flange and an arm or arms adapted to pass through slots therein and engage the underside thereof to press the lid on to its seat, a. rod 5 passing through a hole in the lid 3 is formed integrally with or is rigidly secured to the arm 4, and a spring 8 surrounding the rod presses the arm and the lid against their seatings.
