Abstract

200,434. Moyer, P. S. Nov. 9, 1922. Internal fittings.- A detachable moisture absorbing device for application to the lids of containers comprises a perforated casing 6, Fig. 1, fitted with a bow spring 8 adapted to contact with the inside of the lid to hold the casing firmly therein. The sping is secured to the casing by a bolt 9 and nut 10 adjustment of which flattens or releases the spring to adapt it to lids of different sizes. In a modification, springs 11, Fig. 5, are secured to the sides of the casing 6 by threading tongues 12 on their ends through the perforations in the casing. The casing may contain any hygroscopic material.
