Road-surface boxes.-The screws for securing the cover of a container for conduit boxes are frictionally held to the cover, when released, by fibre washers 6 arranged below the screw heads in recesses 4 in the covers and dimensioned to engage frictionally with the screws and the recesses. The washer may have a cupped periphery 7 which is spread by the screw head in the recess 4.
