Abstract

The processes of the parent Specifications for obtaining relatively low-boiling hydrocarbons by heating higher-boiling hydrocarbons in presence of hydrogen and certain metals or alloys such as tin, soft solders, and bismuth alloys, are conducted at temperatures over 600 DEG C. whereby pressure is unnecessary. At about 900 DEG C. or over hydrogen is not needed.ALSO:The processes of the parent Specifications for obtaining hydrocarbons of relatively low boiling point by heating higher boiling hydrocarbons in presence of hydrogen and certain metals or alloys such as tin, soft solders, and bismuth alloys, are conducted at temperatures of over 600 DEG C. whereby pressure is unnecessary.
