Abstract

193,856. Cosmo, J. de. Feb. 23, 1922, [Convention date]. Spring wheels.-In wheel tyres of the type comprising a metal ring 2, and an annular cushion 1 formed with cells arranged in staggered order enclosed in an outer cover, as described in Specification 185,758, the ring 2 is provided with a supporting wood hoop. The ends of the ring are connected by plates 4 and 5 and rivets and screws as shown in Fig. 1. The cushion may be vulcanized onto the ring. In a modification the metal ring with wood filling may be replaced by a wood ring with or without metal reinforcement.
