Abstract
192,207. Osborne, A. B., and Sodazone, Ltd. Nov. 10, 1921. Drinking-vessels and the like, washing. - Apparatus for washing tumblers and like vessels, adapted to be operated by pressure upon the vessel being washed comprises a container 1 with an inlet opening 5 and an outlet pipe 3 at its base, and internal and external sprays supplied through a valve which is opened by pressure upon the inner spraying tube. The vessel is inverted over the inner tube 13 which is slidably mounted in a support 6 and has rubber-covered arms 11 extending radially from it upon wluch the rim of the vessel is pressed, thus depressing the tube against the action of a spring 21, opening the valve 17 and uncovering holes 16 through which the inner spray is fed. The outer spray 8, which may be supported by rods 9, is supplied through a pipe 7 when the valve 17 which comprises a rod having longitudinal recesses 19, is depressed.
