Abstract
262,372. Hardie, J. H. Aug. 6, 1925. Drinking - vessels, washing.-A machine of the kind in which a glass or like vessel 18 is supported upon a rotatable holder 13 and is subjected to the action of a cleaning medium on its interior and exterior is constructed so that tangential jets issue from nozzles 12 arranged around a supply pipe 11 on which the holder 13 is supported and impinge against the interior of the glass to rotate the same, while the exterior is sprayed from sprayers 20 which are arranged radially or substantially radially. The supply of liquid to the pipe 11 which supplies the jets 12 and sprayers 20 is controlled by a pedal-operated cock, and the liquid escapes through holes 4a in the base of a bowl 4 surrounding the holder 13 to a waste pipe 21. The holder 13 is composed of wire arms connected at their tops to a disc 14 rotatably mounted on the pipe 11 and bent at their lower ends to engage holes in the periphery of a disc 16 similarly mounted. Rubber supporting studs 17 or the like for the glass may be provided.
