Abstract

306,694. Clarke, T. A., Malin, J., and Hinks, G. F. Feb. 11, 1928. Bottles, drinking-vessels, and cylin. drical vessels, cleaning.-A rotatable drum or frame 5 adapted to be connected to a source of power, shown as a water motor 7, is provided with slots to receive inwardly-directed detachable brushes 8 for cleaning the exterior of a drinking-glass or other vessel, the interior of the vessel being cleaned by a brush 12 secured to a shaft 7a forming an extension of the shaft of the motor. The water after acting cn the vanes of the motor flows through a bye-pass 7e into the shaft 7a and is sprayed into the interior of the brush 12 by means of pipes 13. Openings 5a are formed in the drum 5 to permit the escape of water. The drum is surrounded by a casing 16 also formed with openings for the same purpose. The rim of the casing 16 is provided with a resilient buffer 17. Specification 306,656, [Class 110 (iii), Turbines &c.], is referred to.
