Abstract

239,761. Collin & Co., and Schõfer, J. Dec. 22, 1924. Washers.-In the removal of a constituent of a gaseous mixture by passage through a liquid with which the constituent forms a salt, fouling of the end of the gas-conducting pipe b by the precipitated salt is prevented by providing a ring of blades c or nozzles freely mounted on the end of the pipe so that the passage of the gas through the blades causes rotation of the ring. The latter is provided with a flange c<1> against which the escaping gases press, thus making the ring buoyant.
