Abstract

191,863. Blanchard, A. F. Oct. 26, 1921. Nail files, cutters, and cleaners.-The scale plates 10, 11 of a pocket knife are extended to form the jaws of a nail clip, and are given a set so as normally to separate the jaws. The clip is - operated by a pivoted lever 28 having two notches 35, 36 therein, with which the foot 31' of a movable fulcrum bar 32 engages, the head 33 of the bar sliding in a longitudinal slot 34 in the lever 28. As shown in Fig. 3, engagement of the bar 32 with the notch 36 allows the lever 28 to be folded against the scale plate of the knife, the nail clip being operated when the bar 32 engages the notch 35. One blade 16 of the knife is a nail file and cleaner.
