Abstract

17,573. Garside, I., and Eastwood, F. Dec. 6. Traps.-Relates to removable dip-plates, and consists in the construction shown and in the provision of a grating j and inspection covers e or k, l. A box c, open at the lower end and having a pipe branch g, is cemented as shown in the outlet h of the gully. The grating is hinged on a pin j<2> and may be removed through an inspection-hole d, having a removable water-tight cover e. The top of the box c is preferably inclined, but may be horizontal, as shown in Fig. 3. In the latter case, two inspection covers k, l are provided. The dip-plate is adapted to be fixed in position while the gully is in situ, and is removable when the cement joint has been broken.
