Securing cams on shafts.-A cam for stamp batteries &c. is secured on its shaft by two curved wedges b, b<1> placed around the shaft in a circular bore in the cam a. The wedges are composed of brass, gun-metal, or phosphor bronze and are fixed by pins i, k, one to the cam and the other to the shaft. They are tightened or released by forcibly rotating the cam on the shaft.
