Metallic fabrics.-A reinforcement for concrete ceilings, partitions, &c. consists of longitudinal bars f of uniform cross-section and flat transverse bars a, the latter being produced from plain bars by punching-out one edge so as to leave pairs of lugs y and projections c. The lugs are closed over the hars f by hammering or otherwise, and the whole may be made up as a metallic fabric ready for use.
