Reinforced-concrete floors, walls, and partitions; lathing.-A lathing or reinforcement for concrete floors, walls, &c. consists of a single or double sheet of paper or other fibrous material impregnated with artificial stone and having round, angle, channel, or flat bars on edge secured to one face, and with perforations. Fig. 2 shows the channel-bar form of strengthened fabric applied to concrete floors; the bars rest on joists and may be spaced apart by rods E, and concrete is filled in above. Fig. 5 shows a single sheet with round bars secured by paper or like strips H, or by staples. Specification 25,655/12 is also referred to.
