Building blocks. - Walls are erected without the use of mortar by forming the blocks or slabs with one or more grooves in the top, bottom, and end faces to receive a flexible damp-proof sheet material previously moulded to fit in the grooves, as shown in Fig. 5. For double walls, the material acts ash a wall tie, and may be perforated in the centre. An adhesive may be applied to the material. Fig. 7 shows a double wall tied by means of a block H and flexible material H<1>. The onter blocks may be made of hard wood.
