Projectiles.-Relates to projectiles of the kind comprising a core, the nose of which is at the rear of the annular nose of the surrounding body of the projectile. According to the invention, the projectile comprises a cylindrical outer body a, and a cylindrical body b fastened to the outer body by a lead lining i, which also fills grooves k. The core b is compelled to rotate with the outer body a by projections e on the base plug d fitting into corresponding recesses in the bottom of the core. The contour of the nose of the projectile is completed by a light casing g and the space thus enclosed may be filled with lead. The core may contain an explosive charge, and its nose is shaped like a drill or cone.
