Abstract

191,507. Anderson, R. Oct. 24, 1921. Brushes, hand - supported, driving by power; self-feeding brushes. - A rotary scrubbing brush comprises a brush-stock 2 secured to a turbine whee 5 rotatably mounted in a casing 8, the wheel being provided with vanes 6 extending from the periphery of the wheel to arcuate apertures 4 disposed, as shown, with respect to an outer circle of bristles 3. The casing 8 is provided with a socket 11 having a delivery duct 13 fitted with a needle valve 14 for regulating the supply of fluid to the vanes 6. In a modification, the vanes project outwardly from a conically-shaped wheel, the outer edges of the vanes contacting with a ring or shield secured to the brush-stock.
