Abstract

6344. Turner, H. Gough-. April 28. Recoil, modifying.-Relates to small-arms of the kind having one or more compensating barrels pointing in the opposite direction to that of the effective barrel to eliminate recoil, and consists in an attachment, whereby the recoil may be adjusted, comprising one or more adjustable conical, bell, or trumpet shaped mouthpieces screwed or otherwise adjustably secured to the barrel or barrels. In the construction shown in Fig. 2, the barrels a, bare in alinement, and the conical mouthpiece p is screwed to the barrel a and secured by a lock-nut g. In the modification shown in Fig. 7, the mouthpiece p is of trumpet shape and, as shown in Fig. 9, two conical attachments p, p<1> are provided, the attachment p<1> not being adjustable. Specifications 19,332/14 and 24,682/14 are referred to.
