Abstract

4928. Grant, J. C. Sept. 30. Projectiles.-Consists in making the walls of an explosive projectile of cement or the like and embedding therein a number of rings carrying bullets, the rings being provided with spacing-lugs. Fig. 3 shows a bomb, the walls of which are made of concrete or cement a in which are embedded bullets q cast integrally with rings p<1>. The rings are spaced apart by lugs r, Fig. 2. The cover e of the bomb is secured by staples d, and an outer shell b of steel may be provided.
