Wet presses; suction apparatus.-A suction roll 7 is located beneath the wet felt 6 of a paper - machine between the couch roll or press 4 and the first wet press 9, 10 or between the first and second wet presses, or between the second and third wet presses. Suction rolls may be located in two or more of these positions. The wet felts press against the suction rolls by their own tension and drive the rolls.
